We bought Augusto's coffee in the past, but this is our first time buying his prized Sidra lot!

Sidra is a less known varietal than Gesha, but not less delicious. It's a cross between the bourbon varietal and some Ethiopian landrace. It's floral and delicate, yet very sweet and bold.

Farmers do not need our help to produce tasty coffee. What they need are dedicated buyers to give them stability in a historically uncertain and exploitative industry.

SOME WORDS FROM AUGUSTO
I hope to continue forward tackling the challenges posed to coffee growers by planting new varieties and to be in union with other coffee growers so we can improve ourselves through our own good advice and counsel.''

THE MONKAABA PRODUCER GROUP
Augusto and his wife Marleny Imbachi (check out her exquisite Gesha coffee we also offer!) are lifelong farmers and founding members of the Monkaaba group we often buy from.

It's a smallholder coffee grower empowerment initiative whose goal is to assist other growers in the area to not only find a better market for their coffee, one that pays a solid price, but also to invest in the knowledge and skill of producers in a way that ensures their future success while making them more autonomous.

We release many regular coffee from the group throughout the year and they are always delicious!
