This coffee, from Producer Walter Jose Picada Perez at Finca Las Cumbres is the definition of an easy going coffee. It's nutty and chocolaty, and checks all the boxes of a round, clean, and sweet coffee. It works wonders with any brewing machine and is extremely versatile and easy to extract.

A third generation farmer, Walter maintains a strict fertilizing schedule and disease control protocols. He recognizes the importance of the people working with him and pays above than average for any work down on hi farm. He is also landing money, interest free, to other coffee workers in the area.

His coffee is dried at the Las Segovias Beneficio, which is owned by Luis Alberto. Dealing with Luis helps Walter find international recognition (and buyers) for his hard work and solid tasting coffees.

One of our best seller from last year, the Nicaragua Las Cumbres is fresh and back and tasting amazing!

With notes of dark chocolate, roasted almonds and poached pear, this reminded us of a classic Belgian dessert called poire Belle Hélène (it's worth googling for an image of this ;-) ). The acidity, reminding us of sweet grapefruit, is subtle and super balanced.
